How Can I Know I’m Saved?
With all the confusion religious rituals in “Christendom,” for many people, salvation seems impossible. Instead of a pure Grace Gospel being promoted like the Bible lays it out, we have multiple false gospels that are deceiving so many poor naive people. Oh, that is so sad. Paul instructed the believers in Galatia to flee from false teachers who were deliberately promoting “another gospel,” an adulterated/perverted version of the Gospel of Christ (see Galatians 1:6-9): the Holy Spirit says to let the false teachers be “accursed,” eternally damned! Legalism (works religion) and false teaching were very serious problems in the Galatian church, and while we are in the same predicament in the 21st century, very few people are heeding the warning found in the Bible. There are multitudes of people basing their salvation on a rigid set of regulations that religious authorities have invented—rather than fleeing from false teaching, they embrace it! For the sake of those reading this who have been misled regarding salvation, we need to establish the pure Gospel of Grace right now.
Have you placed your faith exclusively in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on Calvary? Are you basing your forgiveness of sins on the fact that God the Son came in human form to shed His innocent blood? Do you have your faith ALONE in the Gospel of Grace in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, apart from good works? Do you have faith in Romans 10:9-13? Do you believe and trust in your heart that Jesus Christ literally died, was buried for three days, and physically arose from the grave? If so, the Bible says that the Holy Spirit has supernaturally baptized—not water!—you into the Body of Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13).
A person who has genuinely placed their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on Calvary will have complete assurance of salvation. One of the best examples of evidence of salvation is that a new believer will have a change in lifestyle (it may not be immediate, but it is bound to happen at some point). Once you are saved, you no longer have those old desires. You no longer crave the world’s vile lifestyle. You feel convicted when you sin now. You prefer to assemble with other believers instead of going to the local nightclub. You have a new outlook on life. Your goals change. You love studying God’s Word. All of the above is evidence of the Holy Spirit indwelling you. He is your rudder and your source of power now. You are not living in Adam anymore, you are “a new creature” in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17)… a living, breathing trophy of God’s grace! You are a new person: “the old things are passed away, and all things are become new.”
If you do not have assurance of salvation today, I trust you will take advantage of what has been presented here. Salvation is a serious matter, but God has made it so simple to acquire, because Jesus Christ did all the work you were unable to do! You do not have to go through life hoping you will make it to Heaven—you can KNOW WITHOUT DOUBT that you are going to Heaven through Jesus Christ alone!
As the saying goes: G.R.A.C.E.: God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.
