In 1 Cor 2:8 it says Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
I've heard people say that this is Satan, that if he had know that Jesus was dying for the sins of the world he wouldn't have let this happen.
I have also heard someone say that it was talking about Israel and Rome, that if they would have know who He was, they would have had to be killed.
Anyone have any thoughts about this?

Actually, I've heard just what you have--I feel it's all of them: Rome, Israel, and Satan didn't know. NO ONE knew of His death, and because no person knew of His death, Satan could never find out, and if Satan had known what the cross would really accomplish, he would have not let Christ die. Satan couldn't tell them, and they couldn't tell him. Good question, but I think it's a reference to all of them, rulers of the then-known world as well as the evil spiritual world.

In 1 Cor 2:8 it says Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. I, too, tend to believe that it is Satan, Rome and Israel, since the phrase "none of the princes" is plural, as is the word "they." Every single word found in the KJV Bible is perfectly preserved for a reason. When we examine each one closely, the scriptures become more clear to us.
