Major Theological Errors in NKJV, NIV, NLT, and NASB
o Jesus Christ’s power over Satan is denied, with the KJV phrase in Luke 4:8 “Get thee behind me Satan” completely eliminated from the NIV, NASV, and the NKJV places the phrase in a footnote at the bottom of the page.
o John 6:69 in the KJV claims that Jesus Christ is the “Christ, the Son of the living God.” Instead, you will find “the holy one of God” in the NIV, NASV, and the NKJV has placed in it a footnote. Another example of Christ’s deity being denied. (Source: Dr. D.A. Waite).
o The NASB, the NKJV, the NIV, and the NLT completely omit “the blood of Christ” in Colossians 1:14. The KJV reads “in whom we have redemption [deliverance] through His blood.”
o The NIV and the NASB remove the word “Firstborn” (Son) from Matthew 1:25. The NKJV places the word in a footnote at the bottom of the page. This is a subtle denial of the virgin birth of Jesus.
o “Every word of God” is completely eliminated in Luke 4:4 in the NASB, the NLT, the NKJV, and the NIV. Who else but the devil would remove this important part of the verse? (Source: Dr. D.A. Waite).
o In 2 Peter 3:2, the phrase “us apostles” (KJV) has been changed to “your apostles” in these modern versions. By making this subtle change, Peter’s apostleship is questioned, and perhaps we could even go so far as to say this was a deliberate attempt to deny Peter’s apostleship entirely. (Source: Dr. D.A. Waite).
o Ephesians 3:9 in the KJV clearly states that Jesus Christ is the Creator God of Genesis 1:1. However, the phrase “by Jesus Christ” is completely eliminated from the NIV, NASB, and the NKJV places the phrase in a footnote; Jesus Christ (God the Son) is denied as being the Creator.
o In NASB, NKJV, NLT, and NIV, the passages of John 7:53—8:11 and Mark 16:9-20 are separated from the rest of the Bible. They are bracketed in separate areas, casting doubt as to whether or not they are truly Scripture. Yet the passage found in Mark is corroborated by various other portions of Scripture. (Source: Dr. D.A. Waite).
o The NIV and the NASB omit the word “Lord” in Galatians 6:17, 2 Corinthians 4:10, 1 Timothy 5:21, and 2 Timothy 4:1. “Lord” is taken away from “Jesus,” denying His deity.
o “Carried up into Heaven” in Luke 24:51 refers to Jesus’s ascension into Heaven. The NASB has removed this portion of Scripture, denying His Jesus’s ascension. Also, the NASB removed the phrase “He is not here, but is risen” in Luke 24:6, this time denying the literal physical resurrection of Christ.
THE KJV AND THE NKJV ARE NOT THE SAME BIBLE!
People often assume that the NKJV is basically a KJV. NO! The NKJV is more difficult to read than the KJV, as you can see that many KJV words have been replaced with more difficult words. In fact, please notice the large number of omissions in the NKJV. This NKJV is nothing like the KJV, as the NKJV “waters down” the KJV! These are just examples of the errors, but there are many more.
• “JEHOVAH” in KJV is **omitted completely** from NKJV – Watered down, denial of God-breathed passage
• “every word of God” (Luke 4:4 KJV) placed in footnotes/margin in NKJV – Watered down, denial of God-breathed passage
• passage of John 7:53–8:11 in KJV bracketed off from rest of Scripture in NKJV – Watered down, denial of God-breathed passage

(1 Cor. 1:18; 2 Cor. 2:15) (a reference to works-progressive salvation?) – Watered down, denial of instant salvation
• “heretic” (Titus 3:10 KJV) is replaced with “divisive man” (NKJV) – Watered down, “heretic” is more severe
• “narrow is the way” (Matthew 7:14 KJV) replaced with “difficult is the way” in NKJV (another reference to works-progressive salvation?) Is it hard to enter into Heaven? – Watered down, denial of salvation
• “Godhead” (Acts 17:29 KJV) is replaced with “Divine Nature” in NKJV – Watered down, denial of Trinity
• “too superstitious” (Acts 17:22 KJV) is replaced with “very religious” in NKJV – Watered down
• “Heaven” in KJV is **omitted 50 times** in NKJV – denial of Heaven
